Who We Are 

As Ronesans Energy, we invest in the renewable energy sector in Turkiye with a partnership of 50% Ronesans Holding and 50% TotalEnergies.

With the aim of enabling Turkiye to achieve its green transformation goals, we leverage Ronesans Holding's local project development experience of over 25 years and TotalEnergies' global expertise to reach a 100% renewable energy portfolio with 2,000 MW installed capacity within 5 years.

We began our operations in 2007 by constructing hydroelectric power plants. Since then, we have been developing, operating, and delivering electricity to our customers from renewable energy power plants with a focus on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards.

Rönesans Enerji was founded to explore opportunities in the rapidly expanding energy sector.

2009

The group's first investment, Yalnızca HEPP, started production in Karabük province with an installed capacity of 16 MW.

2012

Rönesans Enerji initiated wholesale electricity trade and sales to eligible consumers.

2013

Kale and Osmancık HEPPs, collectively boasting a total installed capacity of 39 MW, were successfully completed on the Yeşilırmak River in Amasya.

2013

Sena HEPP, featuring an installed capacity of 22.10 MW, commenced production on the Kars/Aras River.

2013

Özlüce HEPP, a collaborative effort with Aksu Group in Erzurum, was commissioned, achieving an installed capacity of 37 MW.

2017

Şanlıurfa HEPP was strategically acquired through a privatization tender, securing its position as the largest power plant in the portfolio with an installed capacity of 51 MW.

2022

Rönesans Enerji won 3 YEKA-WPP tenders, adding 170 MW to its capacity.

2023

TotalEnergies acquired a 50% stake in the company.

İpek Ilıcak KAYAALP

Chair of the Board of Directors

İpek Ilıcak Kayaalp graduated from the Economics Department of the Middle East Technical University in 2000. She worked in the field of asset management and finance at various international companies until 2006. İpek Ilıcak Kayaalp has been the Executive Board member of Rönesans Holding and the Head of Treasury of Rönesans since 2006. As of 2014, she is the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Rönesans Holding. İpek Ilıcak Kayaalp is a member of TÜSİAD (Turkish Industry & Business Association), Kançoder (Association for Children with Cancer) and Rönesans Education Foundation.

After graduating from the Civil Engineering Department of Boğaziçi University in 2000, Emre Hatem completed the Marmara University Management and Organization Master's program. After working in various banks for five years, he worked at Garanti BBVA between 2005 and 2022, in charge of Investment Banking and Finance, Corporate Loans, as well as Project Finance Structuring, and Sustainability activities. He has been a Board Member of Rönesans Holding since 2022.
